Popis výsledku v původním jazyce | Autorka ve své původně disertační práci řeší otázky sociálního zabezpečení v období Protektorátu Čechy a Morava. V analytických kapitolách zkoumá, jak Heydrichova politika „cukru a biče“ ovlivňovala distribucí důchodů a přídavků, jakým způsobem zasáhla dostupnost sociální a zdravotní péče, resp. fungování sociálního pojištění obyvatelstva v okupovaném prostoru Čech a Moravy. Na pozadí vzestupu českého a německého nacionalismu a formování se nové české státní ideologie ve 30. a 40. letech 20. století se rovněž zabývá systémem, institucemi a nástroji, které vytvářely sociálně ochranný rámec péče o české a německé obyvatelstvo v protektorátu. Na příkladech politiky práce, zdraví a rodiny definuje dva základní znaky státního sociálního systému v protektorátu: princip rasismu a princip segregace péče podle národní příslušnosti. Dané téma pak Šustrová zasazuje do širší problematiky kolaborace, legitimity režimu a české národní ideologie. |

The book focuses on the social policy of the Nazi Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia while taking into account the rise of Czech and German nationalism in the 1930s and 1940s. The book is divided into six chapters. It opens with the debates on the social policy reforms across its many branches in interwar Czechoslovakia (Chapter 1). The next chapter focuses on the trans-formation of the state and the society, the changes in how society and the nation were perceived at the turn of the 1940s, and how this reduced Czechoslovak society to a racially constructed nation (Chapter 2). This chapter contains a detour into nationalist politics in the occupied Netherlands, Denmark, and Vichy France, where it is connected to the issue of collaboration and regime legitimacy. The third chapter traces the transformative period right after the signing of the Munich Agreement in September 1938 and outlines the institutional background and tools of social security during the Nazi occupation. The subsequent 4th to 6th chapters cover the three most important parts related to the welfare state. The author gradually examines the categories of labour, health, and the family in the various policies. Each of these chapters ends with a discussion on Czech expertise in a related field that aims to illuminate how Czech experts actively participated in the state and the socie-ty’s transformation. |
